Compressed air engages a 100% mechanical lock across the Dana 60 HD 35-spline centre for maximum traction on demand, then releases for predictable, road-friendly manners the rest of the time.
Each Air Locker is built around a forged, heat-treated case with hardened internals, engineered to handle high-torque and big-tyre abuse without giving up everyday drivability. Unlike an automatic locker, engagement is 100% driver-controlled — you decide exactly when the axle locks. Note that an air source (an ARB compressor or other on-board air) is required to operate it.
