The ARB Air Locker RD231 adds selectable front locking to the Nissan R180A differential (30-spline, 10-bolt ring gear). Engage it and an open front axle becomes 100% locked for hill climbs and technical terrain; disengage and it returns to full open-differential operation for safe, predictable steering and street driving.
Set up for 3.54 and numerically lower ring-and-pinion ratios, ARB's forged four-pinion centre withstands the extra load of larger tyres. Air-operated engagement is instant and repeatable through an ARB on-board compressor, giving you traction on demand without any full-time locking compromises.
