Adventure Tool Roll

A tool bag at dusk is a bag you empty onto the ground. Everything is in there, nothing is where you left it, and you find the 10 mm by touch after you have found everything else. The Adventure Tool Roll fixes that by giving every tool a slot: it opens flat to roughly 29 in wide by 19 in tall, you see the whole set at once, and a gap in the row tells you instantly what is still lying under the truck.

Fitted pockets and loops hold each tool individually, which is what stops the rattle — tools that cannot move cannot bang against each other on a corrugated road. Construction is heavy-duty fabric with reinforced stitching and heavy-duty zippers, and a cover flap folds over the tools before you roll it, so nothing works its way out of a loop in transit. The socket set pocket and two box-style pockets (nuts, bolts, drill bits, screws) are removable, so you can pull the small-parts boxes out and take them to the job rather than carrying the whole roll. Velcro ID tags let you label each pocket, which is the difference between reaching for a tool and searching for one.
