BB4812

The Saturn BB4812 DC DC converter and battery to battery charger.

This is a dual purpose device. The first function enables a simple convertion of a 48V (39-60V) DC supply to provide a very stable 12V (customisable) DC Supply to the tune of 40A ~550W. So, it can be used as a standalone converter to give you a 12V feed from your 48V battery bank (lithium or lead acid). This may be required to run 12V fridges, 12V pumps, 12V USB-C laptop / phone chargers, 12V LEDs, 12V ~500W inverter. No 12V battery required, although, there is no problem having one. 

It's additional function is one of a DC DC charger. So, just like our range of Saturn BB chargers. It can simply charge up a 12V battery / bank from a 48V supply. It operates like a normal multistage battery charger. This is also 40A rated, current limiting and the charge voltages are adjustable. 

Due to its high level of capacitance it operate an extremely stable 12V DC supply. The default, out of of the box 12V output is 13.8V. So, without making any adjustments to the device, applying 39-60VDC to the input, it shall deliver 13.8V at 40A = 552W. Due to its combined charger and converter function a 12V battery doesn't have to be used as a buffer, but of course, it can be added, the BB4812 is current limiting.
