DMOS Delta Professional Collapsing Shovel

The DMOS Delta shovel and mount are a robust, compact solution to tending camp and vehicle recovery duties. It provides the same benefits as a full size shovel but packs down to the size of a standard backpack. It’s available with either steel or aluminum blades. Both models feature collapsible aluminum handles. The blade is hinged on the top side to reduce its size for stowage. It locks in at 180* for traditional digging and 90* to function as a hoe.

The Raddest Van You Will See All Day | 808Van

I think it’s official. Vans are cool again. As much as my friends love to cut jokes about me living down by the river, I’ve always been a van guy. My pops drove a ‘78 Ford in his youth and our family had a Dodge conversion van for tailgating at West Point football games (Go Army Beat Navy!).
The A2A Expedition Defender

The A2A Expedition Defender

The Land Rover Defender used by the A2A Expedition family for the last 11 years was bought second hand in 2009. The Landy had three previous owners and was used primarily as a farm truck in the interior of South Africa. The sneaky bugger salesman had insisted that the Landy had not been in any accidents, but it had, so he offered a new gearbox as consolation. I was consoled. Her name is Mafuta, which means “oil” in Swahili, fitting for a Land Rover.

Cummins Powered Toyota Land Cruiser

Cummins Powered Toyota Land Cruiser

This one’s a bit of an odd beast. The team at Proffitt’s Resurrection Land Cruisers went all out with this build. It began life as a 1993 Toyota FZJ80 Landcruiser, but has since been stretched 20 inches and fitted with the cab from a 79-Series. The factory drive train was also ditched in favor of a Cummins R2.8 crate engine and part time 4WD H55F 5-speed transmission. The entire vehicle has been extensively reworked to become a very unique, well equipped overland rig.
A Porsche With A Roof Top Tent

A Porsche With A Roof Top Tent

The Porsche 911 is quite possibly the most versatile sports car ever produced. Primarily known for its track prowess, the 911 finds its station in many different venues. From bombing down dirt roads, to auto-x events, or spirited driving through the mountains, the 911 can do it all. Sadly, most are relegated to bumper-to-bumper daily commutes. As such, anytime we see one being used in a new and fun way, we tend to take notice. The car before you belongs to Brock Keen, he too appreciates the diversity that is the 911. That’s why he owns a Porsche 911 with a roof top tent.

Overlanding the Iconic Simpson Desert

Traveling through Australia’s remote Simpson desert is no joke. Add traveling solo into the mix in a 25 year old Nissan towing a camper trailer with a couple of kids and people look at you like you're crazy.

They say the best defense is a strong offense. They also say you can’t go wrong charging into battle with a set of 40” mud terrains powered by an absolutely massive 7.3L V8 turbo-diesel. There are few engines as iconic (at least in the states) as the venerable 7.3L Powerstroke V8. It’s from an era before temperamental DEF systems, has gobs of torque and is extremely reliable. The only way to get this big engine is through one of Ford’s Super Duty platforms such as the F250 pictured here.

This Porsche 911 Safari Absolutely Shreds

I first encountered Kelly Moss Road and Race at a PCA event in Pooler, Georgia. I was still working for Autometrics Motorsports at the time and we were sharing track time with a number of other cars. I was in still in my twenties, bright eyed and full of wonder. When the guys and I heard that Kelly Moss had brought a fully carbon fiber chassis, Porsche 996 RSR with an unrestricted engine, the temptation was too much to ignore. We immediately ran over to check it out.
