19-26-ram-1500-mountain-hatch-tailgate-table
Mountain Hatch Tailgate Cutting Board & Table for 2019-2026 Ram 1500 (Old or New Style Tailgate)

The Mountain Hatch Tailgate Table for the 2019-2026 Ram 1500 is a 1/2-inch food-grade HDPE panel for the fifth-generation DT truck, with drink holders and a 1/4-inch-deep utility tray molded in. It is offered in two cuts, Old Style and New Style, because Ram used two different tailgate stampings across these model years.

Open your tailgate and compare the inner panel to the two photos in the gallery before you choose: the New Style gate has a cleaner stamped field with round recesses at each end, the Old Style has a long horizontal rib across the top. Installation is the same either way: factory screws out, OEM panel off, Mountain Hatch in. Mountain Hatch is a small shop in Riverside, California. Panels are machine-cut, hand-finished and made to order, which means a wait between ordering and the panel being ready.

Two trade-offs worth knowing. First, HDPE is cutting-board plastic: it scratches under a hard knife stroke and gets slippery when wet. Second, the panel adds weight to the tailgate, so the factory damper will let the gate drop a little faster than it did; Mountain Hatch is upfront that it stays controlled and does not slam. It is a work surface, not armor, so do not expect it to stiffen the gate.

Specifications

Fits

2019-2026 Ram 1500 (DT), standard tailgate, in Old Style or New Style cut

Versions

Recessed version with drink holders and utility tray; choose Old Style or New Style tailgate

Material

Heavy-duty 1/2-inch FDA-approved HDPE with UV inhibitors

Surface

Food-safe, similar to a commercial cutting board

Color

Black

Installation

Remove factory screws and OEM tailgate panel, install Mountain Hatch, reinstall with appropriate hardware.

Made in

Made to order in Riverside, California, USA

Design

Original patented Mountain Hatch tailgate table

Fitment and ordering

More for your truck in RAM 1500 (2019+), or see all Mountain Hatch panels.

Fitment: 2019-2026 Ram 1500 DT.
